| Garlic & Kami |
 |
Centuries ago, the predecessor of Kami, the former
Guardian of the Earth, decided to leave his post and hand his throne down
to one of his two students, Garlic and a Namek named Piccolo. The Guardian
knew of the evil in Garlic's heart so he gave the title to Piccolo, who
became the new Kami. Garlic didn't take this well, so he summoned his
whole Makyan army to attack Kami. After a long and bloody fight, Kami
was able to trap Garlic inside of the Dead Zone, where he subsequently
died.

and Chaozu dangerous attacks such as the Dodompa and the Kikoho. After
the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai, Tenshinhan and Chaozu want to become good,
which angers Tsuru-sennin so he and Kame-sennin fight. Tsuru tries to
attack Tien and Chaozu when they decide to leave him but he's stopped

| Goku & Vegeta |
|
Vegeta first arrives on Earth in search of the
dragonballs to wish for immortality. Instead, he meets up with Kakarotto
(Goku) who puts up a good fight. Their first battle was a long and strenuous
one, with power dueling, sparring, and even Vegeta transforming into his
Oozaru stage. Although Goku had the advantage with his Kaioken attack,
the fight ended in a draw. From that point on, Vegeta has tried to surpass
Goku, but whenever he reaches a new level, Goku is able to reach the one
higher. After the fight with Frieza, Vegeta settles on Earth and starts
a family with Goku's old friend Bulma. It wasn't until the Buu Saga, where
Babidi gave Vegeta a powerup, when they fought for a second time. The
battle ended with Vegeta ending the fight since Goku wasn't concentrating
because of Buu attacking the Earth. Vegeta knocks Goku out during the
interval and he goes off to finish Buu off, but ends up blowing himself
up in an effort to make up for his evil deeds in the past. When Vegeta
returns to Earth, he fuses with Goku to form Vegetto, the strongest fighter
in the universe at the time. When they part, Goku shows off his new Super
Saiyan 3 form, and Vegeta finally realises that Goku is the number 1 Saiyan,
and he accepts the fact Goku is stronger than him.

| Vegeta & Kui |
|
Vegeta and Kui are old acquaintances, and they
are both the servants of Frieza. Kui originally had a higher power rating
than Vegeta, and because of this he was cocky and did not train very much.
After the battle with Goku, Vegeta came back half-dead, and this recovery
helped his power boost well past Kui. Vegeta learnt to hide his power
level on Earth as well, and when Kui confronted Vegeta on Namek he had
no idea what he was going up against. Vegeta charges to full power which
overwhelms Kui and he tries to flee, and gets killed in the process.
