02/18/2003 Archived Entry: "Budokai, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Toy Fair"

First of all, Electronic Gaming Monthly, and Laymord have a statement on Dragonball Z: Budokai's sales:
Bandai, the game's publisher in east Asia, today announced that DragonBallZ: Budokai, the PS2 fighting game on the TV Series, has sold more than 1.94 million units in 20 countries worldwide. The game was published in the United States by Infogrames. This figure includes no sales from Japan, where the game was only just released on the 13th, thus proving that the franchise has developed some very strong legs outside its home country.

Next, Dragonballtoys states:
In FUNimation related news, JAKKS Pacific has been awarded the master toy license for Yu Yu Hakusho. According to the press release, JAKKS will be making action figures, accessories and playsets for the line. They expect to have product in stores in time for the 2003 Christmas season

Finally, Dragonballtoys also has some more stuff from the 2003 Toy Fair in New York. That's it, Flugigo signing off...
