03/08/2004 Archived Entry: "Dbzsc.com Fake Emails"

In the past few weeks there have been numerous reports of emails (with attachments) being sent in regard of "Dbzsc.com". If you receive one of these, DELETE IT INSTANTLY. The DBZSC staff NEVER sends attachments through emails. In fact, we never email anyone unless there has been prior contact from the user. Here's an example of the FAKE emails:

The fake emails are being generated by a malicious spamming group and they contain viruses in their attachments. Don't be fooled by the "apparent sender", since those are fake as well. Some might even try to impersonate our staff members (even me), but once again we remind you: DON'T OPEN THE ATTACHMENTS! The DBZSC staff NEVER sends attachments through emails. Be careful!

Yeah, I got one supposedly from the sovereignfamily.net webmaster(my dad). This virus will go to everyone with a domain name for
an email address. If you've got Hotmail or MSN, you're safe. Yahoo
and AOL can get it though. If you have a website, you'll probably get the email. go to http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.beagle.k@mm.html to learn more about W32.beagle.K@mm.

Well, I don't open attachments in emails unless I know the person who sent it to me, so I'm not worried about it.
