I'd have to say it wouldn't be worth buying Budokai the third. The first was DECENT, but the second seemed like more of the same. Plus, no jumping, similar combos for everyone and the tiring style of 3d fighting seen in different games already make this no real shock. Atari's no good at developing DBZ games (exception: Budokai 1), and I don't think they can follow it up well. Think, why buy a crap DBZ game? That's what they want you to do (money obsessed jerks). LOL...Here's a little fact, did you know that recently sony has said that by the end of this year. Many games are now starting to use the PS2 graphics to its full power. Still...in regards to Ferfie's reply to my post (with all respects to opinions), with Budokai now at #3, it better be somewhat different from the first two because the core gameplay wasn't much differnt (in #2, you went on a board game thing instead of just story battle). Also, 3rd installments seem to get a little to boring after the first two. I think either Bandai or Capcom would be okay developers for the franchise as action/fighting is their thing. Atari should give up their licence, I mean I actually bought legacy of Goku 1 (shuttup, yes I know...). I'm might not even buy budokai 3. I heard from a person who works for atari that there is no story mode. Once again, like budokai 2 there is going to be a dragonworld, but it is not like a board game. You can fly anywere whle looking for the dragonballs. Someone please tell me if he is wrong. Look by the end of this year, you are going to start noticing games may look like computer games because they are going to use the full power of PS2 graphics. Lookm, even the maker of Splinter Cell said that he was in shocked on how Pandora Tomorrow looks 98 percent excatly like the version of Xbox. And you know because of this, the Microsoft team is now getting scared and they said that XBOX2 is going to come out around early 2005. They don't want their loyal Xbox fans to go all PS2 or PS3 by 2005. Because of this action, sony has laugh their *** off on what Microsoft did. Sry if this's off-topic but... Yeah, I think ShawDowFX is right, I personally haven't heard much talk about the PS2 not using full graphics, but come to think of it... all its games have had their graphics just getting better and better and better... The XBox has barely advanced in graphics at all since being made... so, i must say the PS2 is definitely a beter system becuz it has a TON better games (except Halo :(...) and is more... Personally, I would think it'd be a shame if they didnt include Super 17... Oh, and I think they should have new settings... like, make it so that ss3 goku could kill Tien in like.. a punch, cause thatd be really cool. (obviously u could toggle "realistic mode" on or off) Oh, and I think they should have maybe... SOME fused characters be able to be selected right off the bat... Umm... Rhiku... isnt "Final Shine" just one of Vegetas attacks that some guy invented in his DBGT fanfic?!?... Im pretty sure, cause i can clearly remember reading a long one in which a vegeta kills a ressurected Frieza with a.. I got an idea. Why didn't they just make budokai 3 the ultimate dbz game. Why wont they make this the last game of the budokai series? In my opinion, they should finish off the budokai series with a superb game, with a **** load of characters and exellent gameplay. The story mode should start as dragonball, then dragonball z, then all of the dbz movies, and finally into gt. Every character ever should be able to be used in this game.
