A cheap ploy to try and lure suckers into buying the DVDs for just the cards.

IAM SO HAPPY

Posted by 69 @ 06/26/2004 03:05 AM EST

hey Yu Yu, its not really... in fact, these are eps that they "forgot" or didn't want to put in to the dbgt series...

Posted by Son_Gohan @ 06/26/2004 05:59 AM EST

Are they just the first 20 or so eps that the US version missed out?

Posted by Xtreme @ 06/26/2004 08:43 AM EST

XZ, you should mention in the post that they didn't miss these eps out in the UK version.

@ Son Gohan

I know what the Lost Episodes are. The first like, 14 episodes that were cut and are now being released on DVD. When people realize how boring they were, they'll have the cards to "satisfy" themselves, when it really was a waste of money.

ive seen the first three epps there good

Posted by striker @ 06/26/2004 03:15 PM EST

well im from canada and we've already seen them on tv. they haven't come out on DVD/VHS yet though, but i have seen them. they're the episodes where Goku gets turned into a child and they all go to space... and then they come to the baby saga

Posted by Ferfie @ 06/26/2004 03:25 PM EST

@ Ferfie

I'm from Canada too, where did you see those eps?

Posted by [Name] @ 06/26/2004 03:29 PM EST

i dont think they're that bad but they can't compare to the baby vegeta, super 17 and dragon sagas, so i probably wouldnt buy them.

Posted by Ferfie @ 06/26/2004 03:29 PM EST

i saw them on YTV

Posted by Ferfie @ 06/26/2004 03:30 PM EST

they're on every friday, but there's only one ep. per friday

Posted by Ferfie @ 06/26/2004 03:30 PM EST

Okay, that's what they ment by lost eps...well thanks. Anyway, I don't think they're worth BUYING in that case...you should maybe download a cheap clip or something first before you consider this a purchase.

Posted by [Name] @ 06/26/2004 03:35 PM EST

were these the general rildo crap eps? if so, these aired in the us as well.

Posted by saman @ 06/26/2004 04:53 PM EST

Umm... sorry, but i still am confused about what the "Lost Episodes" are... could someone plz explain?!?

Posted by Majin_Sypher™ @ 06/26/2004 08:13 PM EST

The so called "Lost Episodes" are the first 14 or so episodes of Dragonball GT that Funimation decided to exclude due to the lack of "action". Funimation wanted to keep everyones attention with DBGT and started on episode 15 to do so. Supposedly, because of the lack of action and the larger focus on "comedy" that these episodes contain, these are the reason that Dragonball lost popularity in Japan, due to the fact that they are so different from the typical Dragonball everyone was used to.

Posted by nanikozo @ 06/26/2004 09:24 PM EST

So technically these episodes are not really "LOST". This was just another one of Funimations ploys to make as much money as possible.

Posted by samgzl @ 06/26/2004 09:26 PM EST

Personally, I think cutting them out in the first place was a mistake. These episodes were cut because there was a lack of action. I would be less mad at FUNi if they had released them on DVD to begin with. Yes, these episodes were never really lost in the first place. They just kind of, well, forgot about them. I think that is the nice way of putting it.
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

wait, so you mean the voice actors actually signed hundreds and hundreds of cards? i dont think so...they prolly just signed like 4 or whatever then made copies.

Thx, Nanikozo.

I think the whole dbgt thing sucked, a random episode of the smurfs had more action and a better plot

Posted by Aribidi @ 06/27/2004 08:05 PM EST

Yes it did indeed FUNimation FUCKED it up badly Pans voice and is bad the guy who goes last time on gt sounds like some guy with a paroll not to be around children and the music sucks...DBZ was alot better

Posted by Hybrid @ 06/27/2004 09:03 PM EST

I actully liked the music from dbz and stuff it was awesome voices were good too

Posted by Hybrid @ 06/27/2004 09:05 PM EST

ya, I do think that DBZ was alot better, but i still like the 3 last sagas in GT, but not as much as Z

Posted by Ferfie @ 06/28/2004 01:29 PM EST

unfortunately i still haven't seen all of DBZ because the network keeps returning back to the sayan saga everytime it gets to a good part.

The "Lost" episodes arent bad. All the action is crap but some of them are kinda funny. It's still not worth buying.

Posted by Xtreme @ 06/30/2004 01:54 PM EST

dbgt sucks

Posted by animerev @ 06/30/2004 07:34 PM EST

No it doesn't! DBGT is tight! :D

Posted by Enishi @ 06/30/2004 10:35 PM EST

DBGT is OK but there are no good fights Vegeta doesent have a good role in GT and i thought that atleast since Gogeta was there it would cool from there onwards but Gogeta did'nt get any good attacks in just 1 lousy Big Bang Kamehameha which i thoughht would be at least as cool as the Warp Kamehameha Goku used Against Cell in the Cell Games.

Posted by SuperVegito @ 07/01/2004 08:43 AM EST

GT is cool, the only thing is that there was more action in Dragonballz. That's why a lot of people don't like GT but i think its decent

Posted by saiyan @ 07/02/2004 04:07 AM EST

It needed more fight scenes with other people except goku.

Posted by Xtreme @ 07/02/2004 06:33 PM EST

The lost episodes are actually the first 16 Episodes. I've seen them all in japanese and I am a very big DragonBall fan, so I should know this type of stuff. True, 49 episodes were released so technically there are only 15 eps left to add up to 64 total, but if you've watched the japanese version as well, you will notice that the 1st ep in english is actually a summary of what happens to our heroes and are nothing more than clips that Funi added from the first "16" episodes. If you think about it the first english episode was one created by by Funi and was never released in Japan because it never existed. Until Funimation made it mostly for the sole purpose of getting anyone who watched it, including Z fans who never watched GT before or knew very little of it, up to speed and explain the main points, plots, and the reason why Goku is a kid again. Therefore this would technically be the "16th" episode in the entire series, but since it is not the original "16th" that means that there is an original 16th episode. In case any of you are wondering what that episode was about I can sum it up. It is mostly about Pan and Giru playing a video game and Pan can never beat Giru. Giru has no problem beating her. Throughout the episode Pan keeps telling Giru to play her again so that she can beat him this time. At one point Goku asks Giru if he can let Pan win once. I can't remember anything else after that but I am going to try to download those episodes again in japanese to watch until the english ones come out. Here is the link to those that are interested in what the lost episodes are about. These are the UK dubbed eps so you can follow the story. You can especially watch the 16th and 17th eps especially to see what I am talking about and how that makes 16 the actual number of episodes the Lost Episodes have. Enjoy :p

I guess this site is having problems or something right now.

Um... yeah. Ok.

Posted by Yu Yu @ 07/04/2004 02:39 AM EST

DBGT is the biggest load of rubbish. I'm a big fan of DBZ and I think they focus too much on Goku. Don't get me wrong, he should still be the hero, but the other characters should have had a chance. Most of the time they were knocked out with one shot. There were also many character flaws: like Gohan turning super-saiyan and not Mystic.

Posted by Nos482 @ 07/05/2004 08:23 AM EST

or vegeta being a big wussy and goten and trunks were never able to fuse, and Pan existence, she really pissed me off
