DBZSC News Archives: March 2004

Wednesday, March 31, 2004

Well the music video section has been updated with 11 teasers/trailers and previews for the Dbz Trilogy made since 2002 to November 2003. There are a few new videos that I never released on SC for some personal reasons. Go ahead and enjoy the videos, remeber that on thursday they will be gone.

On another note, please understand that most people live in different time zones, I live in canada and am behind some of the states of America by a few hours. XZ is 3 hours ahead of me for example. It is still Tuesday night here in Vancouver so I am actually opening the section early ^_-.

To answer another common question, I use Adobe Premiere 6.0 and Adobe After effects 6.0 to make my videos that you download here at dbzsc.

Also, 007 vs Naruto will be released in May, but there will be other videos released between now and then as well. Expect a new preivew of 007 vs naruto real soon.

Enjoy the videos, and stay tuned for more great updates, here, at DBZSC.

On Wednesday March 31st I am putting back all the teasers/trailers/tv spots I made for the DBZ Trilogy on Saiyan Chronicles for one day. Some of the videos will be old and most of you have seen them, but there are also new videos, never released on SC before.

On other news, a new GTC has been posted up as I promised, this time it may be a bit harder than before so try your best and don't rush your guess.

Also, as XZ would say, If you are a Naruto fan, I suggest you check THIS out.

Stay tuned for moer music videos and the release of 007 vs Naruto.

A few things done today. Firstly, the Week In Review has been updated with new reviewed videos so you can go and watch those, this week's videos very pretty good.

Secondly, the new GTC will be here soon, sometime this week so just hang in there guys and a new one will be out and more challenging than ever!

Finally, I have been working on 007 vs Naruto and I have finally finished the editing in Adobe Premiere. All is left to do now is to import it in After effect and add the final touches.

007 over and out.

-Update-
There was a lot of downtime yesterday night, and it was caused by some router problems over at ThePlanet (our provider's data center). We weren't the only ones affected by this, and it wasn't in our control. We're very sorry for the inconveniences. To read more about it, click HERE.

Straight from KyleHebert.com:

I literally JUST got off the phone with FOX Studios in Los Angeles, CA. I asked outright about the upcoming live action Dragonball/Z movie.

This is exactly what I was told by my contact:

"The Dragonball Z movie? We don't have that. I 've got a lot of calls about that so I called around [the studio]. We won't be making that [movie]."

So there you have it, folks. That is the OFFICIAL story from FOX. I know some of you may be disappointed, but I also think it's a blessing.

Here's another article reguarding the movie, by Otherworld Steve:
I decided to follow up a bit more regarding the rumored live action Dragonball/Z movie. One persistant rumor has been that "George Lucas' CGI company ILM has signed a contract to do the special effects."

Today I called Ellen Pasternack, Public Relations for ILM. I asked her if the rumor was true; if ILM was brought on board to provide the special effects for the Dragonball/Z live action movie. Ms. Pasternack's reply was that it had been mentioned, but ILM never officially signed off on anything and it never came to be. She also commented that, as far as she knows, the film is not being made.

The news are definitely shocking, but I agree with Kyle: it's a blessing. DBZ would have been destroyed in the movie. Keep in mind that no official statement has been released by 20th Century Fox, but these news come from a trustworthy source. Also, remember that FUNimation had nothing to do with the movie, so don't expect any comments on the situation from them. If anything further develops, we'll keep you informed.

UPDATE: We're very sorry for the downtime suffered in the past 2 hours. Our provider had some firewall problems, and it blocked access to anyone trying to view the server.

Well, the "Week in Review" section has been updated with brand new reviews, so go check them out!

Also, please realize that I cannot reply to any GTC emails, so don't ask questions in the "Comment" field because you won't be receiving an answer.

In the past few weeks there have been numerous reports of emails (with attachments) being sent in regard of "Dbzsc.com". If you receive one of these, DELETE IT INSTANTLY. The DBZSC staff NEVER sends attachments through emails. In fact, we never email anyone unless there has been prior contact from the user. Here's an example of the FAKE emails:

The fake emails are being generated by a malicious spamming group and they contain viruses in their attachments. Don't be fooled by the "apparent sender", since those are fake as well. Some might even try to impersonate our staff members (even me), but once again we remind you: DON'T OPEN THE ATTACHMENTS! The DBZSC staff NEVER sends attachments through emails. Be careful!

Well, the 76th Annual Academy Awards are over and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King" won 11 well-deserved Oscars. Congratulations to Peter Jackson & the LOTR crew!

Now, for the goodies. A new section is up today, still Sunday here in Vancouver. It's called "Week In Review", where Majin Trunks (of Majin Planet) and myself review music videos every week and post them on DBZSC. You can go check it out by clicking HERE. Instructions on how to get your video reviewed can be found inside. Have fun!
